MEET Connor

Third-generation Rhode Islander. Neighbor, volunteer, and small business advocate in Ward 13.

Connor Blier is a third-generation Rhode Islander running for City Council because he cares deeply about the future of the neighborhood we share and the people who call it home. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor's degree in Business and a minor in Communications, and is self-taught in Spanish, which allows him to better connect with and serve a broader range of residents in our community. He's proudly restoring his historic 1910 home, investing in the preservation of our neighborhood's character and history.

Connor also serves on the boards of small local businesses and actively volunteers with the WBNA community center to help keep our streets clean and welcoming. He's given his time to Habitat for Humanity, WaterFire Providence, Providence Inner City Daycare, and Rhode Island conservation efforts — because showing up for your neighbors isn't a campaign season activity.

He's running to bring people together to solve real local challenges — from improving public safety and supporting small businesses, to strengthening our access to schools, parks, and neighborhood services. Connor believes Providence must remain a city where working families, young people, and longtime residents can afford to live and thrive, not just a city that's pleasant to visit and impossible to stay in.

That means action on housing, responsible development, and a city that answers.
